Tuesdays have become something that I look forward to and
dread all at the same time. When I wake up I know I am in for a long day of
class but I also know that Sofia will twist my arm into going to Moda (like its
hard to do…) for some dessert.
Moda is a cute little café that is right in between my
apartment and the IES Center so it is a perfect place to go in our long break
to eat and watch the bachelorette study like the good kids that we are.
We discovered you can get a hot drink and cake for only 4 euro,
which is a pretty good deal. The relationship between my wallet and waisteline
will be inverse… and not in a good way.
But this may just
be worth it.
Banoffee
Class.
Brilliant.
[Insert every other Irish slang for amazingness here]
I’m not sure if they have it in the states and I just
haven’t had it or if this is an Irish thing… or a Moda thing for that matter.
Whatever it is, I’m hooked. Banana, caramel, and heavenly goodness….This place
is going to be dangerous.
This is a pretty accurate picture of how Sofia's and my day went. It was our first history exam and I’m thinking the
Banoffee was good luck. Sof and I did well so we’re thinking this Banoffee may
be our good luck charm…. O darn
Do I sense a Tuesday ritual coming on?
Now I must go enter into a sugar coma,
Until Tomorrow....
Cheers,
Becca :)
